Scouts (10.5-14)

1st Stoughton Scout Troop meet is for young people between the ages of 10 ½ and 14 years old.

Each evening consists of a series of games, activities (both indoor and outdoor) and badge work. Scouts are taught a wide range of scouting skills from cooking, knotting, pitching tents and hiking. These help Scouts develop in confidence, sense of adventure and outdoor skills, as well as exploring beliefs and attitudes. Scouts work in Patrols to build leadership experience.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
